Malkajgiri Zone is the northern residential zone of the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC), covering the densely populated colonies of Keesara, Alwal, Bowenpally, Moula Ali, and the Malkajgiri township itself. The zone comprises 5 circles — Keesara, Alwal, Bowenpally, Moula Ali, and Malkajgiri — covering 26 wards.

The zone is well connected to Secunderabad and the city centre via the Malkajgiri railway station and road network. It has a large working-class population, with colonies spread across Neredmet, Kakatiya Nagar, and Venkatapuram. Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation administers all property tax, civic complaints, and municipal services for this zone.
